SUCCEEDED
ever since my hair grew beyond my mid-waist, I've been trying to bun up all of my hair but obviously to no avail. Either it looks too circular and solid or too auntie with the remains of the unbunnable hair shooting out in all directions. And shout hooray, i did it! (:
This should mark the end of my unkempt hair everytime I go out...if I don't go into lazy mode haha. For the past __ years since I have hair (or rather ever since I know the strings growing on my head are hair), I've been letting it down without even combing it.
Actually I did, in primary school when I am very adamant about drawing my hair up into a ponytail and making sure that every single strand of hair is GELLED and glued to the head.
See, the hairstyle is so horrible that I can't even google a picture that is similar to what I had for 6 years on my head. I seriously don't know how my parents can stand looking at me for another minute! :X
So I had a stiff head stuck on my body that looked the same from morning assembly to the dismissal of school, regardless of rain or shine. Even the wind can't make any changes to my heavily gelled head. And the long ponytail is probably the only thing on my head that can move, and that became a convenient "tool". Whenever people want to call me, they just have to give a hard tug on my ponytail and they'll get me.
SO I CHOPPED OFF THE CONVENIENT TOOL.
and hence the evolution from an error stiff head to a mushroom head- the longest strand is probably 1 cm down my ears. urgh. I can't bear to recall.
And fortunately I didn't get addicted to the mushroom head and allowed it to grow- with a centre parting though. Till sec 3. When I first had a more normal looking hairstyle. So moral of the story is I really have no luck with hair, even till now whenever I go for a haircut, i will end up looking like a very error production of my parents.
ANYWAY, the above story is very out of topic haha. Getting back on track, I finally stepped out of my house yesterday for the first time of the week and went out with my anti-shell food Gypsy. Poor gypsy was sick so we didn't get to meet up for gymming therapy this week and went for retail therapy. and it was rewarding, damaging and auntifying. TO THE MAX. hahaha. & I bet gypsy has recovered from the loots that she's ripped together with me, yes keyword: Together with me (:
Have not been to shopping for ages and as quoted from ZS, I've made a comeback hahaha.
so to prove my appreciation to my gypsy for today....

Goodbye, PHS
This is a very very very outdated post! Posting individual events up one by one now that I've the time...not. actually I feel like sleeping now but I am determined to complete an entry! (:
and this entry will come first cause I've lots to say!
5th June marks the end of my working life before I resume my role as a student. Prior to that, I was always fantasizing about how great it will be if there's only 3 days a week, if Friday could come earlier etc. But nothing of that sort came to my mind on that day, afterall it's going to be last day I would be there, doing things that I've been doing for the past 5 months. The 5 months of joy, happiness, frustration and anger will all be history after that day.
But of course, friends that I've made will never "expire"!
Let's move on to the jolly jolly part of the post (:
I was attached to the Application Team from Jan to Apr and subsequently transferred to the Correspondence Team for the remaining months.
& on 3rd of June, something happened. I went to the toilet and went back to my seat just to see a huge huge huge plastic bag resting on my chair. (I was only away for 5minutes!) I opened it up and saw a huge huge huge Love Rabbit staring at me!

I shan't elaborate on how I found out who the 'secret admirers' are- They are my application teamers! (: And I was totally in lalaland after that. I always thought I'll leave..."silently". Hmmm, as if it's just another day. But no, people do bother. They bother to lunch with me even after I've changed team, to make my last week a memorable one by bringing me to different places to eat, to understand me and worked out that I am a diehard crazy and childish fan of that rabbit.
and they bother to fork time out for a pre-farewell dinner with me! (:
So we headed down to Cathay and had Astons for dinner. And the queue was caterpillar long and had to wait for an hour plus. Our chats, chocolates and jokes didn't manage to defeat the constant reminders by our growling stomach and FINALLY WE GOT A SEAT!
really good to see everyone relaxed in their after-work mode, laughing heartily together. and I finally found out the trick behind "Black magic" and "Bang bang who died"!!! Hahaha I know It's super outdated but still...it's an achievement! I've been dying to know the trick behind "Black magic" since secondary sch urgh. and I've been going around and disturbing curious souls now that I'm enlightened hahaha.
and after work on Thursday, I rushed down to get my baking ingredients and get started!
& everybody in my teams got a packet on top of a personalised card! But it's a semi failure la.. caue it's as hard as a rock! But at least it tasted nice, I HOPE. hahahaa : )
and soon came friday. Was a day to pack& rush my cases. Had lunch with all my application teamers and the boss and the day zoomed to the end, like that.
and it wouldn't end off without me pestering them to smile to my camera.
with my Application mates (all present!!):
With my application mates + Jovia:
With my Correspondence mates:
Ending off with a random photo of the glutton pestering me for my cookie and posing it with a stiff face! (:

Goodbye Singapore,
& Hello Malacca!
went on a 2-day short trip to Malacca with my family & mummy's paidu exercise friends last weekend. wasn't too keen on the trip cause I'll be going with a bunch of strangers on the final 2 days of ZS's block leave! :( But I didn't have much of a choice but to tag along and luckily luckily it wasn't that bad!
So we set off at 4+ AM on Saturday morning & met up with my mummy's friends and their families and that makes the attendance a scary figure of 21 people! An invincible combination of nan nv lao shao.
& finally we arrived @ the first destination - Mini M'sia and ASEAN village
There're 13 houses inside the village and each house represents a state in M'sia. Anyway we are supposed to pay for the entrance fees so the aunties suggested looking around at the entrance only since there's nothing much in there but they ventured deeper and deeper and more followed suit and we considered ourselves official visitors eventually haha.
introducing you to the....houses! =) I officially declare that I can't remember a single name at all.
Then we headed down to a small eatery that was featured on TV, selling Nonya dishes. Everyone went in with anticipation but left with utter disappointment. Not nice at all!!
I ordered Nonya laksa. Didn't even bother to take picture at all! 50 thumbs down.
Then we headed along the streets towards the Malacca's must-go Red Buildings. But precisely cause it's a must-go, it's super boring now cause we go there everytime we go Malacca.
@ the museum
Then went to a shopping mall where I had my ever first....foot reflexology!
Hesitated for VERY long because I can't stand itch and I seriously can kick the masseur back to Thailand if she touches my sole! But I was psychoed by the aunties and my curiosity got better of me so there I was, in the hands of the masseur.
After a trip to the heaven, we went to some random area where there're wartime display.
& that's it for the town area. Headed towards my mummy's friend's village and that's when the fun started! It was a very very very long and bumpy car ride into the rural area and it was very deep inside the village. and finally we arrived!
but... take that!
Then we went for dinner and had a durian session @ night! The durian crave crept into my secretly and this session came just at the right time heheh and the worker taught us the way to get rid of the durian smell on our hands
& that is using water that runs off the durian shell. DON'T KNOW WHY EITHER! It's said to be yi du gong du (using poison to treat the poison) and I was totally amazed! Only to find myself feeling so cheated because the smell came back 10 minutes later! =( But it's still amazing and even google doesn't provide a scientific answer to this. If you want to get rid of the durian smell in your mouth, it's not just enough to drink salt water. The water must run off the durian shell too! Not sure how accurate that is so just fyi!
went back to the kampong @ midnight, bathed, chatted and that's the end of day one.
Woke up early in the morning and went for some bakuteh that's known to be famous.
Food that attracts houseflies taste the best, seriously! hahaha. We were busy fanning away those flies to prevent them from kissing our food.
Then went back to the kampong and 'harvested' rambutans and coconuts, fresh from the trees!
After a fruity session, everyone got changed and prepared themselves for the trip to the waterfall!
& arrived!
The lower course of the waterfall is very dirty and crowded so we went up up up and up to the upper course of the falls and I swear it's not easy at all! The steps were rocky, pointy, jagged and steep. and that's alot of steps and kids to take care of.
& finally, we land our feet on the sandy ground and chilly water!
Walked the same terrorising steps down, dried ourselves and went back to the kampong. The rest of the day was spent bathing, packing, eating and back we are in singapore, and thanks to the crazy jam, I only reached home @ 12+ AM!
So overall it was not bad...cause my mummy's friends and their families are entertaining and there's lots of outdoor rural activities to explore. I would seriously die there if I'm thrown there alone to leave, I'll probably suffocate from cobwebs in my lungs but such an experience once in a while does feels fresh!
And then today is ZS's first day after his block leave. His new vocation was made known to him on Friday, 10am so the usual kiasu me keyed in all the necessary particulars and standby by the "submit" button and pressed my mouse the moment th clock strikes 10. But urg, the whole Singapore is as kiasu as me and I experienced a severe lag!
Anyway, he's posted to Sispec and the camp is located at Pasir laba and it's waaaaay over at boon lay! It's just a word different from Pasir ris and it's all the way to the other end of the green line. and he just told me he was posted to Foxtrot Company and I did a quick research and i was greeted by an unfriendly line that says "Foxtrot is the legendary hiong company". But more research then revealed more hiong companies la. Every company will insist that their company is hiong, but 'legendary' sound really intimidating. He had his 4km run on his first day, 4km run every morning, soc tomorrow, IPPT on wed and remedial on Sat if he fails. urg.
Anyway I came across some funny abbreviations as I went through the forums like
Sispec- Suffer In Silence Plus Extra Confinement
OCS- Only Clowns Stay
OETI - Only eat talk idle/ Officially Entitled to Idle
No offence! Just find it cute. Updating previous entries soon, bye!
